Microsoft and Kagerou Pro?!

"Microsoft has revealed an upcoming collaboration with the Kagerou Project. Its Japanese website displays shots from what appears to be a live-action version of the story along with the text "Microsoft x Kagerou Project: My first Tablet & SPECIAL MOVIE."

Though the poster said May 30th, it has been stated that the movie will not be released May 30th. Probably more information on that day. I personally have mixed feelings though =w=

This is a rather unexpected collaboration. xDDD I wonder what they're going to do with it.

Although, there was that one anime (or... whatever it was) that came out last year... about a personified version of Internet Explorer... or something like that.

Is it a bad thing that I should be feeling concerned about this? Considering that Microsoft's been doing poorly these last few years...

And for some reason, I don't feel comfortable with a live-action version of Kagerou Projects, considering that every person is pretty colorful (in terms of hair color and outfit, etc.) it's hard to replicate colorful designs like that in have real world.

I agree with Agnes. Everyone may just end up looking really freaky and fake and out of place in the real world.

@Agnes/Amy: I presume. I had mixed feelings when I saw this. It's gonna be pretty hard making exact replicas from the anime. I hope they don't make it really bad that it ruins the perspective of Kagerou Project. Still, everything is just teasers and pending. Not sure what Microsoft has in planned. I've only heard of some special "tablet" to debut in the movie which is to probably to promote Microsoft's product (tablet).

From the teaser images, I get a feeling that they're not going for a live-action version of Kagerou Project. (Or at least... I hope not.)

The pictures show people drawing, playing guitar, and holding up a CD. I kind of get the feeling that maybe the collaboration "movie" is just going to be about the production side (or the growing of the fanbase) of Kagerou Project (or... any Vocaloid song in general).

Like Kwok-Wai said, it is to probably promote Microsoft's tablet, so I imagine they're going to make the actors use the tablet to draw pictures of the characters as part of the production process.

UPDATE: Looks like it was just a video featuring the new Microsoft Tablet but had some Kagerou Project in it. There was no real life transition of Kagerou Project from the anime or manga. More or less an advertisement to promote both products.

Interesting... Well I guess the Japanese Microsoft has gotten a good idea for using Kagerou Project as a way to advocate for its sales. Smart move, unlike a certain Microsoft in a American *coughs*

Still glad that it wasn't a live-action movie or anything, lol.
