The forged recommendation letter to Beacon Academy was stealthily slipped into a concealed pocket of her dress as the aircraft began to land. Vanessa was somewhat glad that her connections with past employers would come in handy to gain entrance into Beacon, though she felt slightly guilty nevertheless. What kind of hero of justice would convert to such cowardly tactics? The letter was completely typed on the fly, signed with a flourish by the president of a non-existent company, and accepted by a crimson stamp of "Approved" by the Beacon Academy's administration.

Nevertheless, Vanessa inhaled slowly and steeled herself for the possible intrusion of Hunters trying to arrest her. There was no turning back now. Plastering on a brilliant smile, she began scanning the aircraft for a potential group to conceal herself with in case an inspection began. Her eyes fell upon her first target: a beautiful girl dressed in white (Violet), and immediately took notice of the instrument case. "What's that you got there? A violin of some sort? That's a pretty unique baggage to be carrying around these parts." She commented amiably, crouching down to inspect the case. "What can you play? Classical?"

Violet walked through the gates of Beacon, a few minutes she stepped out of the aircraft. She fumbled a bit with a secret pocket in her dress that she used to use for money, but all of it was used to get here. For her it was a fresh start. She pulled up her gloves a bit, lost in her thought until a voice broke her out. She hesitated for a moment then nodded "Yes, I play Classical." she answered " And yea violin, people, I guess aren't used to seeing someone like me carry this to school, but it's special to me."

Kain walked slowly off the aircraft, hands in his pockets, his eyes on the people around him. He looked at them with no discrimination, mentally judging who could or couldn't assert their dominance onto him. While looking at a strong looking male, he crashed into two girls, and exclaimed loudly, "Hey! Watch where you're going!" He got up quickly, seeing a girl in a dress and a frilly looking girl.

She was just about to fire a few more questions at the violin player until they were rudely interrupted by someone colliding into them. Vanessa stumbled from the impact, but caught herself smoothly by shifting her balance. "Oh my, sorry about that! Didn't notice that you were such a rush to... get somewhere..." Her sentence trailed off when her eyes suddenly fixed itself onto the two furry ears atop his head. A squeal erupted from her. "How adorable are these~! Are these apart of your battle outfit or something?"

His mouth curled slightly at the comment, inciting a gruff reply from Kain, "They're not fake, they're real ears." He wiggled them slightly to make his point, then continued with his comment, saying, "I'm a wolf Faunus, not some little dog that you can pet." He looked at the frilly girl, observing her. On the outside, she doesn't look like much, but Kain sensed something deeper, something primal within her.

Violet stood up from falling back, from the impact of Kain. She examined him first, and knew he was a Faunus. She stayed silent , but something deep inside her wanted to pet the furry ears and tail.

"That's so cool!" Vanessa exclaimed. She had encountered several faunus throughout her career, but seeing a wolf was the first for her. "You've got a tail too? It must be really bushy and soft, just like your ears!"

Violet observed the two carefully, she didn't say anything.

"Well, it might be," Kain mused slightly, his mouth still curled. He was quiet for a moment, then he came up with an idea to get away from the loud and frilly girl. Putting his hands up like he was being arrested, black smoke started to plume out of his palms, creating an instantaneous smoke screen, obscuring all manner of vision. Rushing past the two girls, he escaped towards the school building, and yelled over his shoulder, "Too bad you'll never feel it!"

Violet took advantage of the sudden change as she slipped out to, not after Kain, but instead to the school's library which she heard had a large collection of books.

Vanessa coughed viciously through the dense smoke, swatting it away in attempts to find her new friends. Strangely, it didn't siting her eyes or burn at the back of the throat. "Well now, that went well... Looks like they left already..." She surmised, unable to sense any of her new friends' presences. Only the presences of bystanders were sensed, rather, heard as they cried in shock with their view obscured. The sound of heavy footsteps echoed in the smoke, shadowy figures of adults starting to appearing in front of her. "Help me! I can't see!" She cried, trying to attract the teacher's attention and be an innocent bystander.

After entering the building, Kain's footsteps quickly went from a thomping clop to a quiet walk, his presence quickly disappearing within the crowd of students. Well, that went better than expected. He thought, walking in an arbitrary direction. Lost in his own thoughts, he somehow ended up at the library.

Violet went to Ozpin's office, but was told that he wasn't there at the moment. She then ended up on one of the roofs of the building and began to play her heart out, with the violin.

Kain's ears perked at hearing a mysterious sound, very faint, yet musical in nature. Curious, he followed it through the halls, eventually ending up the roof of a building. Seeing the girl he had ran into earlier, he called out, "Hey! Long time no see."

She took notice of him ,but continued to play.

Getting closer, Kain began to listen more intently on the violin, hearing the beautiful melodies that the girl wove with her bow. Normally, Kain disliked music, mostly because they hurt his ears, but this was different. He felt as if the music was wrapping around him, the bars and lines of the composition binding themselves to him. Realizing that he was clearly mental, he snapped back to reality, feeling foolish that he felt something from the music. Looking at her, he attempted to initiate a conversation, saying, "So, is that your own song?"
