I also used SAI for my shirt design. You can actually convert the resolution and make it a png image! Here's how: - Gasp a tutorial look:
You can change resolution if you go to Canvas (C), and there's a little tab that says "Change Resolution" like this:  Once you click that then a little box pops up. Change the pixel resolution to 300 pixel/inch like so:  And to convert to a png format, go to File (F) and mouseover "Export As..." and then choose png.  I hope that made sense, and good luck with that entry! ^^
