Half-Breed RP: Main Page

Rules: (Credit to Windscimitars for posting this list first)

1) No godmodding and OP scenes please, we don't to have another Kirito-type of situation

2) Keep cussing to a minimum, even if your character is the pirate-scallywag type.

3) Violence scenes should also be not too descriptive (ex. "Gushing crimson guts splattered against the walls dying the walls with wriggling intestines") and sex scenes should be time-skipped. KEEP IT PG-13 because we don't want people complaining to us that the RP scarred them for life.

4) KuroKami and Windscimitars are the moderators/owner of this roleplay, so make an unnecessary ruckus with everyone else and we are entitled to kick you out. If you have any questions, feel free to PM us your questions!

5)You can type however you are most accustomed to roleplaying (script, paragraph, etc.), but keep it third person and your posts not of something novel length please.

6) When talking to other members outside of the roleplay, be nice and remember, this site is still under school regulations and we can have you reported if you start playing dirty

Kai strolled out of the gymnasium grasping his schedule and his map of the campus, looking for his next class. He read his first period class aloud in his mind, "Period one... Homeroom... 1-A..." Referencing his map, he made his way to the classroom without too much trouble. He turned the knob to the door and entered the class, seeing only a few people already inside. Not paying attention to the others, he made his way to a seat near a window and sat down quietly. He smirked for no apparent reason, just happy for a fresh start in a new high school.

Nikolas suppressed a yawn as he paraded down the hallway with a troupe of freshmen girls he had picked up from the auditorium. He had originally wanted to ask one of them for directions to the Classroom 1-A, but ended up attracting a large crowd of admirers and fangirls in the meantime. "I can't help but blame them though... Too bad I'm not an incubus though." To his relief, they had finally arrived to his homeroom, a classroom filled with more prestigious students than these mindless idiots. A grateful smile was cast to one of the girl's directions and he bent down to kiss her hand. "Thank you for guiding me to class, Miss. I'd love to spend more time with you, but I wouldn't want to make you tardy on your first day either," he proclaimed. This prompted the group of girls to squeal aloud.

The girl who had lead him to the classroom immediately turned bright red and her spiked tail twitched excitedly. "Oh, no it's okay-! I mean, no wait, it's not okay, since...  Well because I heard that Class 1D's techer is really strict and all, and like yeah... Uh, I-I'll just see you at break then, Nikolas!" She stammered aloud before sprinting the other direction in embarrassment, followed closely by the rest of the freshmen females screaming their adieus and au revoirs to him. The blonde merely waved politely in their direction before stepping into the classroom. He flopped down in the back row of the classroom, tossing his belongings onto the desk beside a Chinese freshman (Kai).

Kai noticed the blonde sit by him but paid him no attention. He thought about the group of girls right outside the classroom, figuring the guy was pretty popular. Studying the man, he looked at his clothing and his demeanor and tried to get a feel for his character. He wondered silently, "I wonder what his creature is..." Clearing his throat, he asked his mental question aloud, hoping for an answer, "Hey you. I was wondering what your creature was since you don't seem to have any weird horns or hooves and whatnot."

Nikolas did a look over on the classmate sitting beside him, idly wondering if he should lie or reveal his supernatural ancestor right off the bat. Living in a society where your supernatural powers are hidden, he was already used to lying. "I'm a Jörmungandr, a Norse serpent. My kind sometimes have tails and forked tongues, though I was lucky enough not to have any." He replied cooly, running a hand through his hair. "What about you?"

"Hellhound. My people have fangs, but there's not much else." Kai opened his mouth and showed a pair of large canine teeth, but nothing that would attract attention from normals. "I'd love to show you my powers, but you'd get killed. Nothing personal." Kai added, not wanting the blonde to get burned from getting to close to an open flame.

Cameron walked into the classroom and sat down behind Kai. He seemed to have been reading a book, and was involved in it not noticing the area around him.

Nikolas hummed with interest at the boy's sudden comment about his powers. "Can your powers be applied to inanimate objects? Maybe a small demonstration wouldn't hurt." He suggested with a shrug. "I remember reading up on the school's website that they offer training facilities for our powers here."

Kai sighed as he took a pencil from his backpack and stood it upright on his hand. Breathing in and out a few times, he concentrated on the tip of the pencil, hoping for it to burst into flames. Luck was on his side this time as the pencil was reduced to ash in seconds by the black flames. Kai gasped for air, relieved that he didn't set the class on fire. "See? Not so hard." He said jokingly.

Nikolas whistled and lightly clapped a the performance. "Those black flames of yours are certainly unique..." He had known about the variety of flames in mythical history, but he had never seen a Hellhound's power. But it looked like the power consumed quite a bit of Kai's energy. "Hopefully you don't have to go the infirmary on your first day. You're lookin' a bit pale."

"It's harder to concentrate on a specific target," Kai explained, still a little pale. "Just letting it roam is the easiest way to use a Hellhound's power." Kai was about to open his mouth again, but the teacher came into the classroom, loudly shooing away the girls still clumped around the door. "Hey! Get away from my classroom! Go to your own classes!" He shouted. In response, the girls pouted, saying things like, "But my hottie Nikolas is in there!" with some other phrases like, "Ooh, that one next to him (Kai) is pretty good looking too..." or "KYAA~ That one sitting next to Nikolas (Cameron) IS SO CUTE!!!"

Finally getting the girls to leave, the teacher sighed and introduced himself to the class. "Ahem. I'm your homeroom teacher, Mister Lee. Call me whatever you want, but I'm also your Human Studies teacher, so watch yourselves. You'll probably see me again when you're taking your Power Control class." He then took role, calling out the names of everyone in the class. "Now, let's do a little activity to get to know each other. Next to your seats, make a team of three and discuss among yourselves about your lives and what your want to do at this school."

The moment Lee's words left his lips, the class flew up into a flurry of activity. Classmates immediately bonded with their neighbors, making sure they wouldn't end up being singled out. "I guess I'll start out," Nikolas announced, proffering a hand to both Kai and the bookish boy behind him (Cameron). "I'm Nikolas Lindberg from a small town in the MidWest. I have no goals in mind as of yet, but I hope to discover them throughout my time with you two. It's a pleasure to meet you two both."

Kai shook his hand and replied in a similar manner, stating, "Kai Hong. I'm from a small town in China and I came here for the Power Control facilities. Nice to meet you." Likewise, he turned and offered his hand to the book reading boy behind him, tapping his desk to get his attention.

Cameron looked up from his book, as he saw the two "It's n-nice to meet you to" he stuttered a bit. "I'm Cameron"

Looking back at Nikolas, Kai asked him to return to favor, saying, "Since I showed you my power, let's see yours. I'm pretty curious at what a Jörmungandr can do." Still looking at Nikolas, he directed his next question to Cameron, "You too, Cameron. Show us what you've got."

Nikolas chuckled nervously, though he felt more like bragging than being modest. "I can't really do much other than twist my limbs in awkward formations, unfortuantely..." With this, he flexed out his right arm, displaying a sudden languid movement of his limb contorting itself like a whip. Throughout the event, sometimes it seemed as if his arm would snap in half from the awkward positions, but Nikolas made no indication of being in pain at all. "I can also make it wrap around objects." As he spoke, the same arm slithered onto Cameron's arm and coiled itself around the forearm.

Cameron started to shake, a bit, surprised, he knew about other halfbreed abilities but haven't really seen one like Nikolas.

He noticed Cameron's sudden surprise. "Oops, my bad. My hand likes to do that sometimes, I apologize for scaring you." Nikolas sighed as his arm unraveled itself and snapped back to his side. "But enough about me, what are your powers, Cameron?"

"w-Wing manifestation" he answered quietly.

"That's cool and all but-" Kai started before he was cut off by the loud ring of the bell that resounded throughout the school. Getting up from his chair, Mister Lee announced to the class, "Kids, this school's a little different so listen up! Regardless of what your schedule says, your next class is the Power Control class. He paused for a minute, then continued on with his spiel, "Side note: You're going to be paired up with your group for the rest of the semester. And with that, good luck."

DAY ONE PERIOD TWO: POWER CONTROL

Date:Monday, April 12th, 2020
Weather: 9:15 am, breezy and sunny

This is the class many students come to the school for, the power control class. This class teaches students how to control and refine their otherwise unruly powers. The room that is in is on the other side of campus and is labled PC-1. The passing period starts now!

Between the study hall period and the passing period, Nikolas had left his group to change into a simple t-shirt and sweatpants for the Power Control class. "It's a good thing I decided to pack this... Wouldn't want my singe or damage any of my Ralph Lauren vests." He thought wryly as he strode down the hallway towards the PC-1 room. Upon arriving, there were a few students mingling around, but instead of socializing, Nikolas sat down and began some warm-up exercises.

Having already deposited his blazer and tie in his locker, Kai eventually arrived at the PC-1 building, his dress shirt unbuttoned at the top and the sleeves rolled up. Looking around, he examined the white walls of the large room, and satisfied with his look-around, he started stretching. Just out of earshot, some girls came by and commented some of the boys saying, "Wow, look at Nikolas! He's way more muscular than I thought he was!" or things like, "You like Nikolas? Kai's more my type, he's got that cool, distant look to him!" Ignoring them, Kai went on with his stretches and warm-ups.
