Half-Breed RP (Info and Characters)

Title: Half-Breed

Introduction: Throughout the ages, man has always coexisted with monsters, although they have not always known it. Fearful of these unknown creatures, humans distanced themselves from these creatures, scared of what could happen to them if they came into contact. Those that caught glimpses of these mythical beings wrote stories of them, describing them in detail, creating thrilling stories for their children. Unbeknownst to the humans, these stories would brand the supernatural with a stigma that would create friction between the two sects of life.

Summary of the Lore: Over time, many supernatural creatures have mated with humans and in doing so, created a group of people that inherited their specific powers. Such powers could range from element control to enhanced strength to seduction. These half-breeds were mostly human except for a few traits that depended on the parent creature such as a tail or pointed teeth. Seeing a drastic change in the human race, scientists branded these people Animus Personas. Few people call them this long and scientific name and they use the slur, “Half-Breed” instead. Almost all Half-Breeds experience their powers, although the only difference between them is when they experience it. Some could bloom at birth while others may have to experience some sort of trauma.

Wholes have no idea of the existence of Halves, however the government does, and to ensure that these Halves don't run rampant, the government (with the help of other Halves) formed an agreement to establish secret schools from these special breed of humans. These secret schools are known to be "elite campuses" to the Wholes society, however, these schools focus on integrating Halves into society and curbing their powers. To enter these prestigious schools, teenager Halves are personally scouted and invited to join these safe havens, however, if they choose to reject, the government will be tailing them for the rest of their lives and having counter-measures against them if the time arises.

Setting: New York City, U.S.A, in the year 2020. Many things have remained mostly intact, aside for the development of better technology and security.

Appearance: A 5'6" Chinese male with a fit and lean build. Short, black hair spiked up in the front coupled by his dark red eyes. Wears the male's school uniform; black pants, a white button up, and a blazer coat. His tie is slightly loosened for a bit more freedom.

Half-Breed’s Personality: Kai keeps to himself most of the time, troubled by his inability to control his powers consistently and fears for the safety of others. Due to his loner attitude, many people stay away, thinking he's a punk of some sort. However, he cares about the ones close to him although he may not show it very well. He can get angry easily, but tries to keep it in check to limit the outbreaks of flames. He dislikes to be called his nickname Blaze, but allows it because it reminds him that his power shouldn't be used.
Half-Breed’s History: Born in a rural village in the south of China, Kai lived a peaceful life to a Hellhound father and a human mother. His father and mother both knew that his powers could flare up at any time, but they treated him like a normal child through his early childhood. Once he was 6 however, a classmate pushed him down and made cry, setting the village on fire with pitch black flames. The flames spread to the nearby forest, warranting his father's immediate attention as he ran off to put the flames out. His mother rushed to comfort him and stop the generation of the flames. Kai's father succeeded in extinguishing the flames, but died to Kai's raw and uncontrolled flames. His mother suffered the same fate, charred by her son's black fire. The event scarred Kai deeply, and he swore never to use his flames again. The U.S. government however, took notice of this incident and took him to America where he was put in a special set of schools for children like him.

Appearance: A platinum blond individual with short hair spiked up, smoldering green eyes, and a clean shaven face. He's normally found wearing preppy urban outfits like vests, sweaters, slacks, and collared shirts.

Half-Breed’s Personality: A seemingly courteous and compassionate man, Nikolas is actually very materialistic and dramatic to the point of flamboyancy. He couldn't care less what others think and will do anything to achieve his goals, even if he has to use cowardly or unjustified methods. In a way, Nikolas is rather ruthless and merciless when facing against his enemies or adversaries.
Half-Breed’s History: Nikolas's family had originated from the highlands of northern Europe and have recorded in their oral history about their fused lineage with fantastical Norse spirits. During the Industrial Revolution, his family moved to America as immigrants and built up their wealth by selling illegal bonds, doing private trading and hitman work on the side, and a lot of bribing into the 21st century. From his great-grandfather, Nikolas had inherited some remnants of Jörmungandr's blood and was deemed to be weak compared to his many predecessors. However, with his introduction to martial arts for his usual self-defense training at home, Nikolas discovered how useful his ability to quickly restrain his opponents and pull them into a variety of chokes and holds. From Muy Thai to Judo, he finally found MMA, where he could fully utilize his power and almost kill someone in a handful of seconds.

During one of the international tournaments, Nikolas had nearly killed the seven-year champion and resulted him in becoming instantly infamous. His family, worried that his secret might be revealed and their reputation was already on their way to ruin, sent him off to this elite academy for half-breeds to curb his powers. By doing this, they also stripped him from his status as a part of the main family and had an extremely distant relative adopt him. His full name is actually Nikolas Franz Van Hoffman, heir of the Van Hoffman fortune and the next successor of the lineage of half-breeds.

Appearance: Brown haired,with lighter streaks here and there short, thin stature. He has pale skin and large, gold eyes. He often wears the regular uniform. Other than that outside he wears jeans, white shirt, and a leather jacket with holes ripped in the back. His wings are quite large, brown with a light grey lining.
Year:1st

Half-Breed’s Personality: Being the youngest child of his family, he was very shy, often needing support from his older siblings. He reads a lot and tends to avoid people, his loyalty and respect are only earned by him not given.  
Half-Breed’s History: Cameron was born into a family with, three older brothers, and two older sisters, the three triplets and the two twins. Even though Cameron was without another sibling the same age as him to be with, his sibling gave him attention and loved him more than their parents. His father was a Griffin and his mother was a human. It was just that one day, their father went away and never came back, the mother afraid sent the siblings to the academy as there only means of being safe.
With the stress of the loss of his father, as well as seeing how his siblings excel in school, he began to have his own wings unexpectedly. He learned how to use them, by his siblings, but they all grew apart further and further away. Now when he is sent to the academy he rarely sees his siblings, a long with the stress of being like them, prodigies.

Half-Breed’s Personality: A laid back individual, he doesn't care about many things, but he can be oddly strict about others. He likes to focus more on the practical applications of the school and its uses.

Appearance: Also looking very young for her age, Cathy is Vince's fraternal twin. She wears a red tanktop, a black pencil skirt, and a white lab coat. Her hourglass figure has earned her the affection of many of the students on campus.

Half-Breed’s Personality: Nicer than her twin, she treats her students with more affection and care. An overall nice person, she is very popular with the males on the campus. She has a close relationship with her twin.

Appearance: Short black hair and brown eyes, small even for her age- around 4'10". She only wears dark colors- grey and black mostly.

Half-Breed’s Personality: Very self-confident and sure of her strength - fearless. Reserved, independent, and can easily lose her temper (Which is bad because then she can't control dah powah ; w ; ) However, she prefers being part of a group, especially during battles, since she can't cause actual physical pain and serves more as a big distraction.

Half-Breed’s History: She was born to a Gorgon mother (Think Medusa.) but without the traditional snake hair and without the ability to turn people to stone. In fact, she cannot cause any real harm with her ability whatsoever because the pain she inflicts is all in the victim's head. She spent most of her life in her house as her mother wouldn't allow her to leave because she might hurt someone. Her mother trained her extensively to keep her power in check, so she is quite precise and able to look people in the eye without causing them mental pain. She is also very agile - fast and adept at dodging.
